As a Sales Consultant at Bumble Bee Blinds, you will be responsible for selling custom blinds, shades, shutters and drapery to residential and commercial clients in West Michigan. You will help build your book of business through lead-generating activities, work to drive sales, and deliver exceptional customer service by owning the customer experience from first call to final install. A successful Sales Consultant will hold oneself to the highest standards of customer service and professionalism while being friendly, thorough, detail-oriented, organized, and driven. By spending time with customers and listening well, you’ll present window treatment solutions that add beauty and solve problems.
Responsibilities:
Provide friendly, exceptional customer support by guiding clients through the customer journey with a focus on selecting, measuring, quoting and selling window treatment products.
Responsible for entering, maintaining, updating, and communicating client data, estimate information, project status, and job details into relevant software systems. Follow Bumble Bee Blinds approach without shortcuts.
Complete and submit all required client information, task-related activities and documentation in a timely manner.
Maintain communication with the owner/office and with customers throughout the customer journey.
Spearhead personal growth and learning opportunities to stay up to date on product offerings. Participate in regular sales meetings, webinars, and trainings.
Arrive on time to all client appointments, company meetings and other related commitments.
Drive leads by conducting lead generation activities like local canvassing and networking. Participation in organized networking groups a bonus.
Build and nurture strong networking relationships with new clients, existing clients, and referral partners.
Assist and/or represent the business at occasional trade shows and networking events that may fall outside of regular business hours.
Required Qualifications:
1+ year(s) experience in self-generated lead sales, commercial sales, or customer service.
Very detail oriented and organized; diligent in keeping efficient notes, photos and records.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including basic grammar, spelling, and writing.
High energy, positive attitude, and forward thinking. Able to anticipate needs, solve problems and develop a “Plan B” independently.
Strong working knowledge of common computer software including but not limited to: MS Outlook Word, Excel, and specific CRM programs.
Willingness to use and/or learn new apps/software programs as needed.
Strong team player with the ability to excel amid multiple simultaneous projects.
Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous window covering sales/service experience preferred.
Must demonstrate flexibility; able to adapt to change.
Ability to follow policies and procedures.
Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure.
Compensation
Base salary + commission (based on experience).
Paid training + travel to immersive training experience
Paid time off + paid holidays
Company vehicle + fuel for work-related activities
